Two Wisconsin Badger stars heard their names called in the sixth round of the NFL Draft.

With overall pick No. 213, the Buffalo Bills grabbed cornerback Rachad Wildgoose. He was limited by an injury in 2020 before opting out of the rest of the season following the loss to Northwestern.

Wildgoose finished his career with 57 total tackles, an interception, and 14 passes defended. He will try and carve out a role for himself on a Buffalo team that recorded 15 interceptions in 2020.

Directly following that selection, the Green Bay Packers made the move at pick No. 214 to grab offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen. Van Lanen appeared in 45 career games, was an All-B1G selection in 2020, and was a four-time All-Academic B1G honoree.

While it would appear Green Bay is adding depth and a local product to help protect Aaron Rodgers, Rodgers’ future with the Packers has been put into question by some recent speculation. Regardless of Rodgers’ future, Van Lanen brings experience to an offensive line that saw star tackle David Bakhtiari sustain a serious knee injury this season.
