Wisconsin will be without one of its top offensive weapons in its B1G opener against Northwestern.
Saturday, Jeff Potrykus of the Journal-Sentinel reported that tight end Troy Fumagalli would miss Saturday’s game with a minor leg injury. He’s currently the leading pass-catcher for the Badgers.

Fumagalli leads Wisconsin in receptions (15), receiving yards (236) and is tied for most touchdown catches (3) through the first three games of the season. He also ranks sixth in receiving yards in the B1G and is the top tight end in the category.
His absence is a huge loss for the Badgers, who have relied on using their tight end heavily in the passing attack.
Wisconsin enters Saturday’s game ranked No. 10 and is 3-0 on the year. Northwestern heads to Madison at 2-1 but has won two of the last three meetings against the Badgers.
The Badgers and Wildcats are scheduled to kickoff at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
