Danny Davis battled head injuries for most of the season in 2020, playing in just two games for Wisconsin. Fall camp isn’t off to the best start for the Badgers wide receiver, either, as he’s already being held out from practice with an apparent head injury.
Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported that Davis will be held out an indefinite period of time because of a head injury. It’s unclear the severity of the situation, but the report from Potrykus indicated that Davis was at practice on Friday and was riding a stationary bike.
Davis did participate in Wisconsin’s Wednesday practice and the team had an off day Thursday.
Along with Kendric Pryor, Davis is considered one of Wisconsin’s top playmakers at the wide receiver position. His return is a big reason why the Badgers are considered the favorite in the B1G West entering the 2021 season.
Davis has played in 39 career games with the Badgers, making 15 starts. He’s caught 99 passes for 1,164 yards and 12 touchdowns. In just 2 contests last fall, Davis had 3 receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown.
