Wisconsin is hitting the field this spring to prepare for the 2022 season. One player that stole the spotlight during Thursday’s session was Riley Nowakowski.

Originally a linebacker out of high school, Nowakowski filled in at fullback for the postseason during the bowl game for the Badgers. He is still practicing with the offense, and he reeled in an impressive catch during practice.

Graham Mertz was able to put the ball just outside the reach of the defender with Nowakowski able to get his hands on the ball. Unable to secure the ball initially, Nowakowski juggled it and eventually secured the catch as he spun down to the ground.

Wisconsin labeled it the catch of the day on social media:

It will be interesting to see where Nowakowski lands to start the 2022 season. Right now, he looks at home on the offensive side of the ball.
