With heavy snow coming, Purdue and Indiana putting together game-plan for Saturday’s rivalry matchup

One of the best rivalries in college basketball takes place this Saturday, as Indiana travels to Purdue for the classic in-state clash. But some unruly weather headed through the Midwest could change some things for the weekend matchup.
Thursday morning, Trevor Peters of WLFI tweeted that Purdue is putting together a game-plan for the excessive amount of snow expected to hit West Lafayette on Saturday. Though the region is planning to look like a winter wonderland, the game between the Boilermakers and Hoosiers is expected to be played.
As long as Indiana can get to West Lafayette, the game will be played at Mackey Arena. The Hoosiers are traveling on Friday, prior to when the big snowfall is expected to come.

The doors to Mackey Arena will open a half-hour earlier than usual for the 2 p.m. tipoff team, meaning fans can get in starting at 12:30. Parking lots will open at noon.
West Lafayette is expected to receive six-to-eight inches of snowfall on Saturday.
Saturday will mark the 208th meeting between Purdue and Indiana, with the Boilers owning a 118-89 series lead all-time. Purdue has also won six of the last seven matchups, including three straight at Mackey Arena.
