Chris Webber wants the Final Four banners back up at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.
On Thursday, the critical part of Michigan’s Fab Five teams sent out a tweet as name, image and likeness rules changed for the NCAA. Clearly, Webber believes that with the new policies in place, those banners should be back up on Michigan’s campus.
“Ummmmm sooo…whoever has the key please hit me up,” Webber wrote on Twitter. “I need that key…you know…the one to the secret room with the Banners…”

Michigan’s Final Four banners from the 1992 and 1993 seasons were taken down after the seasons were vacated by the NCAA due to the Ed Martin recruiting scandal. Many believe the banners should be hanging in the arena anyway.
Right now, that’s not the case.
With the rule changes to NIL, it could pave the way for Michigan’s banners from nearly 30 years ago to be rehung at Crisler Center. We’ll see if the UM administration revisits the topic.
