A top-20 showdown, the No. 19 Michigan Wolverines welcomed the No. 8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish to Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday.
Leading to an extra emphasis on the running game, both teams are trying to navigate the cold, rainy conditions. Having fun with the dreary weather, some of Michigan’s cheerleaders broke out the canoes during a first quarter timeout.
ESPN shared footage of the scene:

Thanks to a 21-yard field goal from sophomore Jake Moody, the Wolverines held a 3-0 lead after 15 minutes. Tacking on two touchdowns from freshman running back Zach Charbonnet, Michigan now leads 17-0.
Having just passed the halfway mark of the second quarter, Notre Dame at Michigan is currently airing on ABC with Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.
