Sarah Fuller might be on the cusp of making history and becoming the first woman to ever play in a Power 5 football game. For one weekend at least, Fuller might be trading futbol for football.
With COVID-19 devastating the depth chart at the kicking position for Vanderbilt, Fuller, a member of the Commodores women’s soccer team, spent time practicing with the football team this week. Head coach Derek Mason said that she’s in the mix for kicking duties this weekend at Missouri.
Vanderbilt is currently 0-7 on the year.
Derek Mason confirmed that Vanderbilt women's soccer player Sarah Fuller may handle the football team's kicking on Saturday.
“Sarah’s an option. She seems to be a pretty good option."

It has been quite a whirlwind of a year for Fuller, a goalkeeper on the women’s team. She’s a senior who made the first start of her collegiate career this season and became a pivotal part of the team’s run to an SEC title this fall.
Not just a quality goalkeeper, she also has three times been named to the SEC’s Academic Honor Roll.
Now, she is closing in on making history this Saturday and becoming the first woman to ever play Power Five football.
