Wyatt Davis reassures Ohio State fans he ‘will be fine’ following injury in national championship

Besides losing the national championship and doing so in blowout fashion, Ohio State and its fanbase also had to watch a scary sight on Monday as Wyatt Davis suffered a knee injury in the first half of the game against Alabama and was helped off the field by the team’s training staff.
This wasn’t the first time Buckeye fans have seen Davis exit with knee issues. On Tuesday, Davis took to Twitter to address his injury and thank Ohio State fans for their support.

Following his injury in the first half, Davis was seen later in the game on the sideline with crutches. He has left games previously due to knee injuries and head coach Ryan Day said after the game that Davis had reinjured his knee during the national title game.
Davis appears to be a possible candidate to leave early. The 2020 first-team All-American has the potential to be a first-round pick according to draft experts. But it is unclear at this point if the injury could hinder that and result in Davis staying in Columbus.
The injury bug hit Ohio State hard in Monday’s loss. With an already small margin of error, the Buckeyes also saw running back Trey Sermon leave with an injury.
