Xavier Henderson missed a good chunk of time early in Michigan State’s season. Now back in the defense, he’s already making plays in the Week 9 rivalry game against Michigan.
After a lackluster showing on Michigan State’s first offensive possession, Michigan took over against the Spartan defense. The Wolverines produced a few first downs before trying a swing pass to Cornelius Johnson.
The play began as a positive one and picked up a few yards. But with Johnson stood up, Henderson swooped in and ripped the ball out.

While Michigan State did not get anything going on the ensuing possession, the Spartans will need more plays like this to keep in the game against the Wolverines.
