Earlier in the day on Christmas Eve, 5-star defensive end Tunmise Adeleye announced his top six schools for his recruitment. The 2021 lineman had Ohio State among those six.

But later on in the night on Christmas Eve, another top-200 overall prospect in 4-star defensive tackle Taizse Johnson announced his top six. Ohio State, again, made the cut:

The Buckeyes recruit elite talent. This shouldn’t come as a shocker. Alabama, Texas A&M, South Carolina and Florida are other schools that made the cut. Along with those five was Maryland.
The Terrapins may not pull many top-tier recruits as of late, but Mike Locksley is going into his second year at Maryland. He has gotten some elite talent to believe in what he’s selling, and Johnson would only add to that. He is also from Washington D.C., giving Locksley and the Terps a bit of a home-field advantage.
The 6-foot-1 lineman is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 13 DT in the Class of 2021.
