Saturday afternoon’s Red River Showdown between Oklahoma and No. 22 Texas was everything a college football fan would want in a game. There was even some not-safe-for-work gestures to close out the 4 overtime thriller.
Oklahoma outlasted Texas 53-45 in 4 overtimes to win the heated rivalry game, despite blowing a 31-17 lead late in the contest. Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger threw an interception on the team’s final offensive possession, solidifying the victory for the Sooners.
Immediately after the play, the camera panned two a pair of stunned and frustrated Texas fans. One was throwing up the surrender cobra, while the other was throwing up the middle finger. All of it was gloriously captured on camera:

After such a hard-fought game, losing in such disappointing fashion has to be frustrating. Plus, Oklahoma was coming off back-to-back losses and appeared to be nowhere as good as it has been recently.
This was Texas’s chance to get a big win over the Sooners, but it came up short. Fans, especially those in attendance, were visibly upset with another disappointing loss.
