Zach Edey is in the process of testing the waters for the 2023 NBA Draft and is taking on the NBA Combine this week. However, anyone hoping for a quick decision on Edey’s final plans might be in for a bit of a wait.
According to basketball insider Adam Zagoria, Edey addressed the timeline for his decision with the media on Wednesday. The 7-foot-4 center announced he will not have a final decision on the process until closer to the deadline. (That deadline is May 31 for collegiate early entries.)
As for the neutral-site matchup between Purdue and Alabama this season, Edey acknowledged it would be a cool game to be a part of but said it will not factor into his decision. That game is set to be played in Toronto.

Edey also took time to weigh in on some of the various reports and speculation surrounding his final decision. In the post, Edey referenced that everyone appears to know his plans “except for me” while adding in a facepalm emoji for good measure.
Everyone seems to know what I’m doing next year except for me🤦🏻♂️
