Isaiah Collier is going places only Hall of Famers like John Stockton dare to tread with the Utah Jazz, as the second-year guard from USC recorded a monster effort Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers.

Collier, 21, delivered a career-high 22 assists – the most in the NBA this season and the most by a Utah player since Stockton in 1992 — to help pace the Jazz over the Pistons 131-122 despite Utah playing with just 7 healthy players.

According to the league, Collier is the youngest player in NBA history to record 20-plus assists in a game.

The last NBA player with 22 assists in a game was Denver’s Nikola Jokic on March 7, 2025. Collier played all 48 minutes against Indiana and also scored 17 points – as all 7 Utah players had 14 points or more. Lauri Markkanen led the way with 27 points.

Collier’s previous assist high was 14 in his rookie season against the Timberwolves on Feb. 28, 2025. He also doled out 13 dimes against the Lakers on Dec. 18, 2025, and now has 19 double-digit assist games in his 2 NBA seasons.

Collier is ranked ninth in the NBA entering Wednesday’s play with 7.0 assists per game to go with his 9.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per outing. The 29th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Collier averaged 16.3 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in his lone season at USC in 2023-24.
