Jordy Bahl is turning in a dominant two-way season for Nebraska softball. Now in the Baton Rouge Regional of the NCAA Tournament, Bahl has taken things up another level, driving the Huskers into a spot in the regional finals.

On Saturday, Bahl was up to her old tricks vs. Southeastern Louisiana. She went 3 strong innings with just a lone earned run as the Huskers piled up the runs, including another home run for Bahl.

Her blast in the 4th inning made it 13-1 in favor of Nebraska before the game eventually went final at 14-1 in 5 innings. It was Bahl’s 3rd home run of the regional round and her 22nd of the season, tying the single-season mark for Nebraska.

Bahl has been the driving force for Nebraska all season long, and it has been a similar story in the regional round. She opened the weekend by going 2-for-2 with 2 home runs, 2 walks and 5 RBI in a 10-2 win over UConn.

In Saturday’s game, SELA pitched around Bahl for much of the game with the star walking in 3 straight plate appearances to begin the game. Her homer gave her a final statline at the plate of 1-for-1 with the home run, 3 walks, and 2 runs scored.

So far, Bahl is 3-for-3 with 5 walks at the plate in the regional round with 5 runs and 6 RBI. In the circle, Bahl has gone 6 innings with just a lone earned run allowed and 6 strikeouts as Nebraska has outscored its competition, 24-3.

Now, Nebraska can wait for its opponent in the finals, where the Huskers will have 2 chances to win 1 game and advance to the Super Regionals. Regional host LSU faces UConn on Saturday afternoon, and the winner of that game will face Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday evening for the chance to face Nebraska.

Sunday’s game for Nebraska will be set for 3 pm ET.
