AJ Henning and Northwestern are looking to secure an improbable bowl bid with a win in Week 12. The Wildcats opened that game with a dramatic scoring drive, punctuated by Henning’s big play.

Facing a 2nd-and-10 near midfield, Henning found himself in one-on-one coverage with a route tailing toward the sideline. Ben Bryant delivered a beautiful ball where only the receiver could make a play, and Henning laid out with a beautiful reception.

After Henning’s big catch, Cam Porter delivered runs of 11 yards and then for 7 yards and a touchdown. Northwestern did not convert a 2-point attempt, but it was an electric big play early for Henning and the offense.

Earlier in the week, David Braun saw the interim tag removed as he’s now the full-time head coach for Northwestern. He has guided the team to a 5-5 mark on an interim basis and can secure a bowl with one more win.
