One of the best players in the country will be transferring elsewhere for the 2022 season.

Northwestern safety Brandon Joseph has entered the transfer portal.

There is no other way to say it: This is a massive loss for the Wildcats.

Joseph was a 1st-team All-American in 2020 and preseason 1st-team All-American entering this season. He had a spectacular year and finished with 79 total tackles (54 solo) with 1 sack, a forced fumble, and 3 interceptions.

In 2020, he had 52 total tackles (28 solo), along with 6 interceptions and 2 pass breakups.

Before committing to Northwestern, Joseph was a 3-star prospect and the No. 130 player in Texas. He was also the No. 83 safety in the country, per 247Sports Composite.

As of right now, it’s unknown where Joseph will take his talents to next.
