All in a jersey? Here's how Northwestern has fared in its Week 8 uniform combination
We already know the uniform combo Northwestern will don when the Wildcats travel to face No. 6 Michigan in Week 8. Now we have some numbers to verify how they perform in these threads.
The Washington Post’s Ella Brockway did some digging and found out that Northwestern is 4-5 all-time when they wear the traditional purple helmets with white jerseys and purple pants. “Northwestern” will be in purple letters on the white jersey.
This is the first time this set is being worn since the loss vs. Ohio State in last season’s B1G Championship Game:
Happy Friday! The most important stats of the week:
Record in this combo: 4-5
Last worn: vs. OSU in B1G Championship Game, 2020
Last win: at Purdue, 2016
Extra fun fact: Will become one of three uniform color combos that Northwestern has worn at least 10 times https://t.co/4ss4XDUuzz— Ella Brockway (@ellabrockway) October 22, 2021
Northwestern (3-3) is coming off a 21-7 victory vs. Rutgers last weekend. Undefeated Michigan is coming off a bye week and most recently edged Nebraska 32-29.
Michigan leads the all-time series 58-15-2 and is on a six-game winning streak vs. Northwestern.
