Northwestern is doing its best to end the season with a win!

Despite winning just two games heading into the season finale, Pat Fitzgerald’s squad is playing well in the Land of Lincoln rivalry showdown. The Wildcats have won four straight in the series against Illinois and are playing like they want to extend that winning streak!

With a three-point lead in the third quarter, QB Andrew Marty and the offense put together a drive into Illini territory. The deciding play came from a good way out with Marty dropping in a beautiful throw.

It wasn’t a terribly complicated play call with Riley Lees running down the seam with man-to-man coverage. He got behind his defender, and Marty’s throw was perfectly accurate over the top.

It went for a touchdown and gave Northwestern a 10-point lead:
