Auburn QB Bo Nix previews Citrus Bowl showdown vs Northwestern's defense
Even though there’s been a lot of bowl game cancellations, one that has not been canceled is the Citrus Bowl and it has one heck of a matchup brewing.
Auburn will be playing the Big Ten runner-up Northwestern on Jan. 1 and Tigers quarterback Bo Nix went on Facebook Live on Wednesday to preview the matchup.
In the interview, he talked about how prepared Auburn is for the game:
“I think we’ve had a great week of preparation. Going into this bowl game, knowing it’s our last one, I think we’ll play very relaxed and confident,” said Nix.
Nix also talked about the Wildcats defense and how stout of a group they are during the interview:
“At the same time, Northwestern has a great defense. They’re a really good football team, very physical. They’re going to know what they are doing, they’ll be in the right spots, so we’re going to have to play really sound football to beat them,” Nix explained.
For this season, Nix started in all 10 games for Auburn and threw for 2,123 yards with 11 touchdowns to seven interceptions. Kickoff for the game will be at 1 p.m. ET on Friday.
