Boo Buie hit a controversial game-winner vs. Indiana on Wednesday night.

The victory gave the Wildcats their 4th win over a ranked opponent this season. It also gives Northwestern a realistic chance of contending for the Big Ten title down the stretch.

Here’s a replay of Buie’s clutch moment:

However, the winning play didn’t come without some discussion. Some Indiana fans claimed that Buie pushed off on his late floater to break the tie.

“That’s IU Twitter,” Buie said simply.

Here’s video of Buie answering the question in the postgame press conference:

Indiana coach Mike Woodson chose to take the high road after the game and didn’t comment on whether or not it should have been an offensive foul.

“Well, the officials didn’t call it, but at the end of the day, Boo (Buie) made a hell of a shot,” Woodson said.

Northwestern is now 10-5 in Big Ten play and sitting alone in 2nd place. The Wildcats are just 2 games back of Purdue for the top spot in the conference.
