Cam Mitchell mic’d up: Northwestern reveals behind-the-scenes look at star DB in fall camp

Cam Mitchell enters 2022 looking for a big year and hoping to lead the Northwestern secondary. A key piece for the unit each of the past two seasons, Mitchell and the defense are trying to bounce back after giving up 29 points per game in 2021.
Last season, Mitchell finished the year with 43 total tackles and was second on the team with 5 passes defended. AJ Hampton with 11 passes defended was the only Wildcat with more.
Now entering 2022, that duo will try and lock down opposing receivers and anchor a secondary that lost Brandon Joseph via the transfer portal.
On Tuesday, Northwestern dropped a video of a behind-the-scenes look at Mitchell gearing up for the season. The mic’d up video is great and provides a humorous look at Mitchell’s interactions with his teammates.

Mitchell and the Wildcats will get the season started early with a Week 0 trip to Ireland. Hopefully, Northwestern can put up a good fight against Nebraska, but it sounds like Mitchell’s Irish trivia game is already on point.
