Ohio State seemed to have the game locked up. After a Northwestern pass fell incomplete on fourth down late in the final quarter, the Buckeyes could’ve sat on their two-touchdown lead.

Instead, the Buckeyes decided to throw the football around the field, trying to add a little insurance to its 38-24 lead. With four minutes left in the game, Dwayne Haskins found J.K. Dobbins for a 17-yard touchdown.

It was Haskins’ fifth touchdown pass of the game and Ohio State ended the game with a 45-24 win. And while most of the country was marveling at the final scoring drive, Northwestern quarterback Clayton Thorson wasn’t too amused.

“They score late throwing the ball up 14 — whatever,” Thorson said, according to Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune. “That’s them.”

While the game appeared to be decided, there were still over four minutes left in the contest. While Thorson wasn’t happy, the Buckeyes didn’t run up the score in the final minute.

Still, the Northwestern quarterback clearly wasn’t pleased with the way Ohio State chose to handle things.
