Converted DB, former Northwestern star Godwin Igwebuike breaks off longest TD for Lions in a decade
Former Northwestern safety Godwin Igwebuike is making the best of his NFL stint as one of the main running backs for the Detroit Lions. Igwebuike was able to get Detroit the 16-10 lead on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers thanks to a 42-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter.
That run by Igwebuike is the longest touchdown run by Detroit since 2011. That run is also the longest touchdown runs on the road since Barry Sanders’ 51-yard touchdown run at Washington on November 9th, 1997.
