It’s a big weekend for B1G football.

While much of the talk is about the undefeated showdown between powerhouse Ohio State and Cinderella story Indiana, another pair of unbeaten teams will be facing off in Evanston as well.

Wisconsin will head just across the border to take on Pat Fitzgerald’s Northwestern team, with the winner having the inside track to the B1G West title.

Noted Wildcat alumni Mike Wilbon, host of ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption, is picking Northwestern to defend their home turf and send the Badgers back north with their first loss.

Wilbon made his case on Thursday’s edition of PTI:

“Northwestern won more one-possession games since 2006 than anyone else in the Power Five,” Wilbon said. “They know how to play them close…I will say this, Wisconsin is No. 1 in defense in the country in points allowed, yards allowed. Northwestern is seventh with a bigger sample size. Double the sample size. Seventh nationally in points allowed, 10th in yards allowed. We got the defense to keep us in this. We are playing at home. We’ve played Wisconsin well at home. We’ve played them okay up there too. I’m wearing purple. I’m wearing purple Saturday. Northwestern’s going to win.”

Wisconsin holds a 60-36 advantage in the series with Northwestern, but since 2014 the series is tied at 3-3, with the two schools splitting their last two meetings.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21 at 3:30 PM EST in Evanston, IL.
