Evan Hull almost was the hero against Duke. Emphasis on the word almost.

Late in the game, Northwestern got the ball back and began to march down the field down 31-23. Northwestern started off with the ball on their own 25 and got within twenty yards of the Duke end zone.

Up until the end of the game, Hull was incredible. He finished the game with 65 yards rushing, and 213 yards receiving with a touchdown in both facets of the game.

Northwestern found themselves just 12 yards away from scoring and potentially sending the game to overtime. Hull got to the end zone, and fumbled after getting hit while trying to leap in for the score.

The Wildcats were down 21-10 to the Blue Devils at halftime, and almost pulled off another insane 2nd half comeback.

Northwestern will need to forget about this game, and move on to the next one. The Wildcats play Southern Illinois next on Sept. 17 at noon ET on BTN.
