Northwestern fans may not be able to see the Wildcats on the field this fall, but they’ll be able to see one of their former offensive stars take the field this season.

On Monday, Notre Dame released its depth chart for its 2020 season opener against Duke. Listed at one of the starting wide receiver positions was former Northwestern star Ben Skowronek. He opted to leave Evanston for South Bend at the conclusion of the 2019 season.

Skowronek has one season of eligibility for the Fighting Irish and was immediately eligible this season. Notre Dame and Duke are scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff time on Saturday, with the game airing on NBC.

During his four seasons at Northwestern, Skowronek appeared in 36 games, totaling 110 receptions for 1,417 yards and 8 touchdowns. However, Skowronek only played in three games last season due to injury, giving him an additional year of eligibility.

Northwestern finished with a 3-9 record in 2019.
