Fightin' Rece Davises: Northwestern shares behind the scenes look of Wildcats using diss as motivation
Earlier today, Northwestern shared an outstanding behind the scenes video of the Wildcats using a Rece Davis diss as motivation to beat Wisconsin:

This all started when ESPN analyst Joey Galloway basically called Northwestern a bunch of fighting Rece Davis’s as he was expecting Wisconsin to whoop Northwestern on Saturday.
That obviously wasn’t the case as Northwestern pulled off the upset 17-7 and that win got the Wildcats to 5-0 on the season.
Head coach Pat Fitzgerald took exception to Galloway’s comments after the game:
“I mean, that really ticked guys off, Iβm not gonna lie to you,” said Fitzgerald. “It was, I thought, incredibly disrespectful. I just talked to the guys about putting fuel in their engine, man. Just use that as fuel in the engine and just go out and play the way weβre capable.”
Clearly, the Wildcats took that to heart and used it as juice in the crucial contest. Galloway is going to have to be careful going forward with how he talks about the Wildcats now, especially as they rise in the AP ranking.
The Fightin’ Rece Davises – er, the Wildcats – will be in action against Michigan State for Week 6.
