After playing three seasons at Indiana, Northwestern quarterback Peyton Ramsey was able to find the endzone for his first touchdown as a Wildcat.

Ramsey’s first score as a member of the Northwestern football team came on the ground. He outraced the Maryland defense on the way to the end zone early in the contest.

His 11-yard scamper extended Northwestern’s lead to 14-3 over Maryland.

Ramsey transferred to Northwestern at the beginning of March after making the decision to enter the transfer portal in late January.

During his 2019 season at Indiana, he threw for 2,454 yards with 13 touchdowns to five interceptions. He also had a 68% completion percentage.

His 2018 season was even better as he threw for nearly 2,900 yards with 19 touchdowns to 13 interceptions.

Ramsey was able to beat out seniors TJ Green and Aiden Smith, among others for that starting quarterback job going into the season and the Wildcats are reaping those benefits so far.

The game is currently being shown on the Big 10 Network.
