During the Houston Texans game on Thanksgiving Day with the Detroit Lions, former Northwestern linebacker Nate Hall seized his opportunity on the national stage and notched a pair of sacks, including a strip-sack of Lions quarterback Matt Stafford.

Hall finished the game with two sacks, the first of his NFL career.

Hall has been playing for the Texans since Nov. 8 vs. Jacksonville. He now has 10 total tackles and the Texans are 3-1 in that span.

Hall has mostly provided depth behind starters Tyrell Adams and Zach Cunningham, and contributing on special teams as well.

Here’s his strip sack against the Lions on Thursday:

Hall earned All-Big Ten honorable mention honors his senior season at Northwestern, starting nine games at linebacker, recording 51 tackles, 5.5 TFL, and three interceptions, tying for the team high.
