Greg Newsome II can officially call himself a member of the Cleveland Browns.

On Saturday, the organization announced that Newsome has signed his rookie contract. He was the No. 26 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Newsome’s recently-signed contract is a four-year deal worth $12.748 million, including a $6.631 million signing bonus. There is also a fifth-year team option for the Browns.

With Newsome signing on the dotted line, Cleveland has now inked seven of its eight draft picks.

Newsome was one of the top cornerbacks in college football during the 2020 season. He led the B1G with 10 pass break-ups and recorded an interception for a Northwestern team that won a B1G West title. He also had 12 tackles.

The Wildcats had two players selected in the first round of the NFL Draft, with offensive lineman Rashawn Slater going No. 13 overall to the Los Angeles Chargers.
