Here's everything Chris Collins said after the Iowa game
Northwestern got walloped by Iowa in a 112-76 loss to Iowa on Thursday in the B1G tournament. The Wildcats didn’t lead for the entirety of the game, and the only time they weren’t down on the scoreboard was when the game was tied at 0 for about 30 seconds at the start of the game.
Northwestern couldn’t keep up with Iowa’s ability to make three-pointers, and paid dearly for it. The Wildcats shot 45% from the field, and 42% from three-point range.
The one area that Northwestern was able to control, was limiting turnovers. The Wildcats forced 15 turnovers and only had 8 as a team. However, the team was out-rebounded 45-18.
Chris Collins gave credit to Iowa for the win, and stated he is focused on improving every season. Collins cited that this team won 3 conference games just 2 years ago. Lastly, Collins talked about how the team can keep improving and some other decisions he made late in the game.
Here’s all of what Collins said in his post game presser:
“You got to tip you’re hat to Iowa today. They’re playing at a really high level, and any time we had a break down, they capitalized immediately. If they shoot like that, I don’t know who’s going to beat them.” — Collins
