We’re onto Week 4 of the Big Ten season, and we still don’t know what’s going on with Purdue wide receiver Rondale Moore.

On Thursday, Boilermaker head coach Jeff Brohm addressed the media ahead of Saturday’s Big Ten West showdown between Purdue and Northwestern. He addressed the status of Moore, King Doerue and other injured Boilermakers.

That basically means we still don’t have a read on Moore’s injury and won’t know if he’ll play against the Wildcats until Saturday. That has to have some in West Lafayette biting their nails in anxiety.

Though Purdue has had other wide receivers such as David Bell. But they would surely like Moore as another option.

George Karlaftis is a key piece on the defensive line for the Boilermakers. He exited the season opener with an injury against Illinois in Purdue’s most recent win against Illinois on Halloween.

Then there’s running back King Doerue. The sophomore running back has yet to take the field in 2020 because of a hamstring injury.

We should acknowledge that it’s impressive how Purdue has gone 2-0 without all of these key pieces. If none of them can return on Saturday, the Boilermakers will have a really tough test in front of them.
