David Braun’s Northwestern coaching staff will have a different look in 2024.
Matt Fortuna reported Thursday that 3 staffers are not being retained for next season. Braun will be replacing his offensive coordinator, special teams coordinator, tight ends coach and director of sports performance.
The Mike Bajakian departure was long in the works, as Sean McDonough said toward the end of ABC’s Las Vegas Bowl broadcast that Bajakian told the crew that that would be his last game. https://t.co/BVVA8KU30G

It doesn’t come as a huge surprise that the Wildcats are making staff changes. Braun was named interim head coach in July, taking over for Pat Fitzgerald. Braun did not become the full-time head coach until November. This will be his first chance to put together the coaching staff of his choosing.
Braun earned Big Ten Coach of the Year after guiding the Wildcats to a 7-5 regular season. Northwester picked up an 8th win by defeating Utah 14-7 in the Las Vegas Bowl.
