With just a few days before the start of the Early Signing Period, Northwestern picked up a commitment from an in-state QB for the cycle.

The player is Jack Lausch, a QB out of Brother Rice  High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He announced his commitment via Twitter:

“Many thanks to my teammates, coaches, friends, and family,” wrote Lausch. “Excited to be heading to Northwestern University!”

Lausch also has an offer from Indiana State and was previously committed to Notre Dame as a preferred walk-on prospect. Now, he’ll head to Pat Fitzgerald’s Wildcats.

As things currently stand, Northwestern holds the No. 49 recruiting class nationally for 2022. The Wildcats are looking to bounce back after a dismal showing in 2021.
