Northwestern earned a commitment from an intriguing guard transfer on Monday night.

Former Denver guard Justin Mullins will play for the Wildcats, he announced via Twitter.

Here’s that announcement:

“My dream for the longest has been to play in the Big Ten,” Mullins wrote. “Thank you to coach Collins, and the rest of the staff for giving me the opportunity to play at a school as prestigious as Northwestern University.”

Mullins is from Oak Park, Illinois. He played at River Forest High School and was a member of Denver’s 2022 recruiting class.

He stood out as a true freshman at Denver. He scored 9.8 points per game on an impressive 51.4% shooting from the field. He also shot 36.5% from 3-point range.

Listed at 6-foot-6, Mullins has the size to make an impact in the Big Ten for Northwestern this season.

Mullins will have 3 years of eligibility remaining.
