Northwestern will have one of the most prolific quarterbacks in program history back on the sidelines this weekend.
The Wildcats announced that Trevor Siemian, who played at Northwestern from 2011-2014 and is now with the Denver Broncos, will be the honorary captain for Saturday’s game against No. 4 Penn State.
Unfortunately, Siemian’s eligibility is up, so Pat Fitzgerald won’t be able to insert him into the lineup.

Siemian finished his career at Northwestern with 5,931 and 27 touchdowns through the air. He also had six rushing touchdowns for his career. He’s thrown for 4,289 yards and 24 touchdowns in three seasons in the NFL.
Maybe Siemian can bring Northwestern some magic this weekend, as they’re up against one of the top teams in college football in Penn State.
