Northwestern was trailing 31-10 at the start of the 4th quarter, but the Wildcats rallied in the final 15 minutes and sealed their first B1G victory of the season with an incredible 25-yard walk-off touchdown pass from Ben Bryant to Charlie Mangieri to defeat Minnesota in overtime.

Bryant and the Wildcats’ offense began to turn the tide at the start of the 4th quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run from Cam Porter.

Then Bryant and the Northwestern passing offense started heating up, with the Wildcats’ QB connecting on 2 touchdown passes within the final 9 minutes to tie the game up at 31-31, forcing overtime.

With a chance to win the game in overtime, Bryant and the Wildcats delivered once again, completing one of the most improbable comebacks of the season so far.

There has been plenty of adversity surrounding the Northwestern football program this offseason — which led to a disappointing 1-2 start to the season. This comeback against a quality Big Ten opponent will only give the Wildcats more confidence as the bulk of their in-conference schedule is still ahead.
