Northwestern’s Earnest Brown IV has been a productive defender during his time with the Wildcats, and brown is going to try and turn that into a selection during the 2021 NFL Draft.

In a note penned on Twitter, Brown thanked everyone involved in his journey from Dr. Phillips, Pat Fitzgerald, and his teammates to his family and friends. In the end, Brown is declaring for the upcoming NFL Draft:

Brown has appeared in four seasons with the Wildcats, so he is simply passing on the extra year of eligibility handed out by the NCAA for the 2020 season. He was second on the team in TFL this year with 8.5 and added a sack and 32 total tackles.

For his career, Brown finishes with 71 total tackles, 18.5 TFL, and 7.0 sacks and was a part of three bowl victories for Northwestern. Brown was also adept at using his hands at the line of scrimmage, defending nine passes throughout his career.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 270 lbs., it will be interesting to see where Brown lands to start his NFL career.
