Northwestern missed out on the B1G title, but there is still a lot to play for on New Year’s Day!

After winning three games in 2019, Northwestern blew the doors off the B1G West during the wild 2020 season. Pat Fitzgerald and company finished the regular season 6-1 and nearly took down Ohio State in Indianapolis.

During the B1G Championship Game, Northwestern’s defense played on fire and forced star QB Justin Fields into a number of mistakes. Unfortunately, Trey Sermon put up a record-breaking performance to save the day for the Buckeyes.

Now at 6-2, the Wildcats will look to keep their three-game bowl winning streak alive. That stretch includes wins in the Pinstripe Bowl, the Music City Bowl, and the Holiday Bowl with a shot to add a Citrus Bowl title to the list.

Thursday evening, Northwestern unveiled its hype video for Friday’s New Year’s Day showdown, and it is incredible. Check it out:

Friday’s kickoff is set for 1 pm EST on ABC.
