Northwestern football has added a Pac-12 opponent out of California to the schedule.

On Wednesday, the Wildcats announced a home-and-home series has been added with UCLA for the 2033 and 2034 seasons. The 2033 matchup will take place in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The meeting in 2034 will take place at Ryan Field.

The two programs have met 6 times in their history with each team winning 3 times. The Bruins have won the past 3 meetings but just one of those has come since 1970. UCLA won 50-38 in the 2005 Sun Bowl.

For 2022, Northwestern is coming off of a 3-9 season after capturing the B1G West during 2020. The Wildcats will look to rebound and try to build some consistency after a stretch of up-and-down seasons. Should they get back to a bowl game, Northwestern will look to build off a four-game winning streak in the postseason.
