Player representatives selected for Northwestern football’s upcoming time at B1G Media Days released a statement Tuesday announcing that they will not participate in the conference Wednesday.
The 3 players scheduled to meet with media on Wednesday – Bryce Gallagher, Rod Heard III and Bryce Kirtz – released the announcement on Twitter Tuesday. Interim head coach David Braun will still meet with media at the podium at his scheduled time of 11:45 a.m. EST.

This, of course, is in response to the investigation into hazing that unveiled a culture of sexual abuse and potential racism within the program. Head coach Pat Fitzgerald was fired following a news story reporting the findings, which was written by the school’s student newspaper.
Media Days kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday July 26 with an address from B1G Commissioner Tony Petitti at 10:30 a.m. in Indianapolis.
Braun released a statement on the news later Tuesday evening:
