Northwestern football's Joe Spivak 'hosting' 90's night for Wildcats hoops game
When Northwestern fans arrive at Welsh Ryan Arena on Wednesday for the basketball team’s showdown against No. 5 Purdue, there will be a very specific theme. It’s 90’s night.
Not only will there be a theme, but Northwestern football’s Joe Spivak will be hosting. The high-energy defensive lineman has been known to bring plenty of intensity to the gridiron.
Northwestern will be looking for that same enthusiasm and excitement to the basketball floor on Wednesday.

Northwestern could use a major spark, entering Wednesday’s game with a 12-11 record and taking on one of the best teams in the B1G. In their first meeting in January, Purdue coasted to an 80-60 victory.
The Wildcats did win three-straight, defeating Rutgers, Nebraska and Indiana before a seven-point loss vs. No. 13 Illinois.
