Northwestern hoops drops Chicago flag-inspired uniforms designed by seniors

Northwestern basketball is bringing out some different uniforms for their game against DePaul. The Wildcats let their seniors on the team design them.

The theme for the uniforms had to do with the city of Chicago’s flag. The city’s flag has two horizontal blue bars with a white bar in the middle with four red stars.

The uniforms are all-white with “NU” on the front and red stars on the “N”. the shorts will also have red stars running down the side, as the middle part of the flag is showing. A basketball flies across the front of the jersey like a shooting star.

The Wildcats are feeling pretty good about themselves after knocking off No. 20 Michigan State on Dec. 4. Northwestern walked into East Lansing and left with a 70-63 with over the Spartans.

Northwestern will face DePaul after beating Prairie View A&M 61-51 in its most recent game. The DePaul game will be on Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. ET on BTN.
