According to nusports.com, Northwestern will be implementing a new “clear bag” policy at Ryan Field for 2016 home games. The policy is said to maximize fan comfort and safety, and to minimize wait times for entering the stadium.

Each attendee is now allowed one clear plastic bag, no larger than 12″x6″x12″, or a one-gallon clear plastic bag. The only non-clear items being allowed into the venue are small clutch bags.

Items such as backpacks, binocular cases, camera cases, computer bags, fanny packs, zippered seat cushions, diaper bags and purses larger than 4.5″x6.5″ are not allowed.

The Wildcats’ first home game of 2016 will begin at 11 a.m. CST on Sept. 3 in its season-opener against Western Michigan.
