Northwestern has added an experienced defensive back via the transfer portal.

Duke transfer Jeremiah Lewis announced his pledge to the Wildcats on Wednesday night, via his Twitter account.

Lewis heads to Northwestern as a graduate transfer after 4 seasons at Duke. This past season, Lewis recorded 30 tackles and 2 interceptions for the Blue Devils.

Lewis began his career at Duke in 2018, playing in 4 games and taking a redshirt. In 2019, he played in all 12 games, recording 7 tackles and a pass breakup. He followed that up playing in all 11 games of Duke’s 2020 season, making 8 starts, logging 46 tackles (3.5 for loss), 2 interceptions and 10 pass breakups.

Northwestern would love to see Lewis return to that 2020 production in 2022.
