Northwestern wrapped its season in rather disappointing fashion this past Saturday with a 47-14 clobbering at the hands of Illinois. It dropped the program to 3-9 on the year, 1-8 in Big Ten play. It’s the 2nd 3-9 season the Wildcats have endured in the last 3 years.

As should probably be expected, players are hitting the transfer portal. According to Rivals’ Louie Vaccher, 2nd-year defensive back Garnett Hollis put his name in the portal on Tuesday.

He’s the 6th Northwestern player so far to hit the portal, per Vaccher.

Hollis had 5 tackles in 2 seasons with the program, all of them this past year. He appeared in 5 games.

A former 3-star recruit from the class of 2020, the Tennessee native was the 46th-ranked corner in his class and the 633rd overall prospect. He chose Northwestern over Purdue and Vanderbilt, and held offers from several other Big Ten programs.
