Northwestern’s secondary is getting thinner by the minute.

On Monday, Inside NU reported that cornerbacks Roderick Campbell and Brian Bullock would miss the remainder of the 2017 season due to injuries.

Both players underwent surgery, Campbell for a nagging shoulder injury and Bullock for a foot injury sustained earlier this season, according to Inside NU.

Both players will have three years of eligibility remaining after the season.

The Wildcats have lost key contributors in its secondary at various points through the offseason and regular season. Keith Watkins is out for the year and Marcus McShepard is still recovering from an injury sustained early this year.

Northwestern has a bye week this Saturday before traveling to Madison to take on Wisconsin to open its B1G schedule. The Wildcats were once thought to be the biggest challenger to the Badgers in the West but the depleted secondary certainly takes hampers their chances.
