Northwestern, in recent years, hasn’t been afraid to shake it up in the uniform department.

That’s what comes with being one of the top Under Armour teams. The Wildcats transitioned into a more modern look with all whites in recent years.

But for Saturday’s game against Wisconsin, the Cats are going gray:

The purple stripe in the middle matches what the Cats have going with their white uniforms.

It might not be a primetime game, but Saturday’s showdown against No. 8 Wisconsin has all sorts of implications for the Badgers. Northwestern can essentially end their bid for the College Football Playoff.

It’s worth noting that Wisconsin hasn’t won in Evanston since 1999. Perhaps some new threads will add a little more juice to what figures to be a back-and-forth B1G West battle.
