Northwestern releases injury report, has 2 defensive starters out vs. Michigan State
Through the first 5 weeks of the college football season, it’s pretty safe to say that Northwestern has struggled and No. 20 Michigan State has done pretty well.
The Spartans of course would love to be 4-0, but at 3-1, the team still has a lot to play for. The Wildcats, however, are 1-3 and looking at this point to probably have the opportunity to play in a bowl game.
On Thursday night, Northwestern released its injury report heading into the game against Michigan State and two defensive starters were listed as out: LB Nate Hall and CB Greg Newsome.

Hall, a senior LB, is fourth on the team with 26 tackles. Newsome has started two games to this point, but was listed as a starter ahead of Saturday’s game. Both are listed as out.
Northwestern to this point has allowed 27 points to Purdue, 21 to Duke, 39 to Akron and 20 to Michigan. Having two starters out certainly won’t help.
Kickoff is set for noon on Saturday with the game being held at Spartan Stadium. The contest can be watched on FS1.
